Gee Willikers: A NY District Court Decides Case on the Privileges and Immunities Clause

In Schoenefeld v. New York, decided by a judge in the Northern District of New York on September 7, the court held that a state statute requiring all lawyers licensed within the state to keep an office there (if they want to continue to practice in the state) violated the 14th Amendment’s Privileges and Immunities Clause.  That’s rare.
